Team Lead

Key note: This role ensures that the proper activities are implemented and managed in accordance with the EU GDP/GMP requirements and/or local legislation requirements (e.g. FDA, Japanese, HPRA, etc).

The incumbent is responsible for the execution and follow-up of all customs declarations in relation to the customs legislation. This includes setting up and providing periodic reporting on customs activities and taking actions based on this reporting.

1. Import

• Follows up on incoming shipments.
• Co-ordinates import with forwarding agents, provide timely and correct import instructions and inform the relevant stakeholders within GL&NS and beyond.
• Files compliant and accurate import declarations towards the authorities.
• Timely and compliant closure of inbound transit declarations.
• Provides timely and appropriate feedback to customs authorities.
• Responsible for the correct execution of special import documentation and assists in queries by customs authorities.
• Resolves files of dispute.
• Provides feedback/information to stakeholders regarding import.
• Resolves escalations from brokers related to import and inbound transit.
• Ensures accurate maintenance of SOP/WI’S.
• Works with external stakeholders supporting the inbound/import process.

2. Export

• Co-ordinates export with forwarding agents, provides timely and correct export instructions (EDIS) to forwarding agents.
• Ensures correct, timely execution of export declarations (E-filing) and transit declarations.
• Responsible for the correct execution of special export documentation and assisting in queries by customs authorities.
• Provides timely and appropriate feedback to customs authorities.
• Ensures accurate maintenance of SOP/WI’S.
• Responsible for issuing ATR-certificates.
• Provides feedback/information to stakeholders regarding export.
• If applicable, responsible for sending declarations of preferential origin to customer service.
• Resolves escalations from brokers related to export and outbound transit.
• Works with external stakeholders supporting the outbound/export process.
• Follows up on timely closure of outbound transit declarations.

3. Reporting

• Maintains stock records on a daily base.
• Ensures periodic stock controls of bonded goods.
• Responsible for the yearly closing stock records.

4. Audit and Compliance

• Provides timely and correct input to all audit requests as appropriate.
• Provides regular metrics and take necessary actions to meet compliance.
• Properly documents processes in SOP’S and WI’S.

5. Stakeholder management

• Conducts and drive regular meetings with local brokerage operations and forwarders on performance and continuous improvement.
• Conducts and drives regular meetings with Pfizer internal stakeholder on customs support provided, to discuss performance and continuous improvement (e.g. MFG site ORM’s, QBR’s).

• Quality of work and accuracy to avoid clearance delays.
• No customs or other penalties thanks to proper administration.
• Comply with defined lead-times and escalation handling in time.
• Comply with and adhere to all procedures and the Pfizer core values.
• Works according to relevant SOP’s and WI’s.
• Completes all required training in time.

Bachelor’s or master’s Degree, University degree or equivalent through experience.

Preferably past work experience in Supply Chain or Logistic sector.

Proficient in English; other languages are a benefit or must depending on the geographical responsibility.

Broad PC skills are essential (MS applications Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint), profound knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
