Nursing Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients as per hospital policies and clinical protocols.
• Assess and monitor patients’ health conditions, vital signs, and clinical status.
• Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Assist doctors during procedures and patient examinations.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and patient records.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and promptly report abnormalities to the treating doctor.
• Ensure proper implementation of nursing care plans.
• Maintain infection prevention and control practices.
• Perform wound care, catheter care, dressing changes, and other nursing procedures as required.
• Educate patients and attendants regarding medications, treatment, diet, hygiene, and discharge instructions.
• Ensure proper handover of patients and clinical information during shift changes.
• Maintain ward cleanliness, patient safety, and availability of essential supplies and equipment.
• Follow medication safety, patient identification, and hospital quality standards.
• Participate in emergency management and provide immediate nursing support when required.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Coordinate effectively with doctors, nursing supervisors, technicians, and other departments.

Qualification

• GNM / B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Valid nursing registration with the applicable State Nursing Council.
• Relevant hospital/ward experience preferred.
