Manual Tester (PMS – WMS)

Roles and responsibilities:

·      Plan, design, and execute end-to-end testing

·      Reviewing and analyzing business requirements and functional specifications to define test scope

·      Preparing detailed test plans, test cases, test scripts, and traceability matrices

·      Performing functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing for new releases and builds

·      Logging, tracking, and managing defects through resolution using the defect management tool, and coordinating with development teams for timely fixes

·      Performing sanity and regression testing after each defect fix or new build deployment

·      Maintaining detailed defect logs, keeping them updated with the latest status, comments, and resolution notes

·      Performing root cause analysis (RCA) of recurring issues and sharing findings with the project team

·      Attending scrum calls and interacting with on a daily basis

·      Coordinating with business/client stakeholders during UAT to gather feedback and validate that the new application meets business requirements

Desired Experience: 5-6 years of relevant Manual/Functional Testing experience

·      Hands-on experience in Functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing of web applications, preferably built on Java and React

·      Client handling and coordinating UAT cycles with business/client stakeholders

·      Good understanding of SDLC/STLC, Agile Methodology, test management, and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM/Quality Center)

·      Ability to write and execute detailed test cases, test scripts, and test plans

·      Good written and verbal communication skills; self-motivated

·      Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams — Business Analysts, Developers, and Project Managers

·      Knowledge of Wealth Management / securities industry rules, regulations, and guidelines preferred

·      Prior exposure to Portfolio Management Systems (PMS), Wealth Management Systems (WMS), or capital markets/financial services platforms is a strong plus
