Job Summary

L3 Network Security Engineer (Barracuda Firewall - Primary | FortiGate Firewall - Secondary) Position Title L3 Network Security Engineer - Barracuda & FortiGate Firewalls Location Noida Experience Required 7-12 Years in Network Security and Enterprise Firewall Administration Employment Type Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking an experienced L3 Network Security Engineer with strong expertise in Barracuda CloudGen Firewall as the primary skill and Fortinet FortiGate Firewall as a secondary skill. The candidate will be responsible for L3 support, troubleshooting, design reviews, complex incident resolution, security policy management, implementation, migration, optimization, and operational excellence across enterprise security environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing large-scale firewall deployments, VPN technologies, security policies, IPS/IDS, application control, web filtering, SD-WAN, and security best practices in enterprise environments. 

Key Responsibilities

Firewall Administration & Support • Provide L3 support for Barracuda CloudGen Firewall infrastructure, Troubleshoot critical P1/P2 incidents and perform root cause analysis (RCA), Manage firewall policies, NAT rules, VPN configurations, and security objects ,Review and optimize firewall rule base according to security standards ,Implement security changes through formal change management processes, Participate in on-call support and major incident management activities. Barracuda CloudGen Firewall (Primary Skill) • Administration and troubleshooting of Barracuda CloudGen Firewalls. • Configuration and maintenance of: o Firewall Policies, NAT Rules, Site-to-Site VPN, Client-to-Site VPN, SSL VPN, IPS/IDS, Content Filtering, Application Control, Traffic Shaping, Web Security Policies, SD-WAN • Administration of Barracuda Firewall Control Center, Performance tuning and high availability implementations, Firmware upgrades and patch management, Security hardening and compliance enforcement. FortiGate Firewall (Secondary Skill) • Administration of FortiGate Firewalls. • Configuration and troubleshooting of: • Security Policies, NAT, IPSec VPN, SSL VPN, Application Control, Web Filtering, Antivirus, DNS Filtering, IPS Profiles, • Experience with: o FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiClient • Support security audits and compliance requirements. Incident & Problem Management • Lead complex firewall troubleshooting activities, Analyze traffic flow using packet captures and logs, Coordinate with network, security, cloud, and application teams, Perform problem management and identify recurring issues, Document workaround, known errors, and permanent fixes, Prepare RCA reports for major incidents Security Operations • Review and implement security policies, Conduct firewall health checks, Identify security risks and recommend mitigation plans, Participate in vulnerability remediation activities, Support regulatory and compliance requirements, Assist SOC and Incident Response teams during security investigations. Network Security Technologies Strong working knowledge of: • Layer 2 and Layer 3 Networking, TCP/IP Protocol Suite, Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, Static Routing), VLANs and Switching, DNS, DHCP, NTP, Network Security Architecture, Proxy Technologies, IDS/IPS, Load Balancing Concepts, SSL/TLS, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Zero Trust Security, Required Technical Skills Primary Skills • Barracuda CloudGen Firewall Administration,Barracuda Firewall Control Center (FCC),Barracuda VPN Technologies,Barracuda SD-WAN, Firewall Policy Management, Advanced Troubleshooting

Skill Requirements

FortiGate Firewall Administration, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiClient EMS, Fortinet Security Fabric Additional Preferred Skills • Palo Alto Networks, Check Point Firewall, Cisco ASA/FTD, Zscaler, Azure Networking, AWS Networking & Security, Linux Administration, Scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash), Required Experience • 7+ years in Network Security. • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Barracuda CloudGen Firewalls. • 3+ years of experience with FortiGate Firewalls. • Experience supporting large enterprise environments. • Experience with firewall migration and implementation projects. • Experience handling critical production environments. Certifications (Preferred) Barracuda • Barracuda CloudGen Firewall Engineer, Barracuda Certified Specialist Fortinet • FCSS Network Security, FCSS Security Operations, Former NSE 4 / NSE 5 / NSE 7 equivalent certifications Additional Certifications • CCNP Security, PCNSE, Check Point CCSA/CCSE, Azure Security Engineer, AWS Security Specialty Soft Skills • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, Strong customer-facing communication, Experience leading technical discussions and bridge calls, Ability to mentor L1 and L2 engineers, Documentation and reporting expertise, Capability to work independently in a 24x7 support environment.
