Job Description: IBM AIX Administrator (L3) Job Title IBM AIX Administrator - L3 / Senior Consultant Experience • Total Experience: 8-10+ years • Relevant Experience: Minimum 5-8 years in AIX Administration • Minimum 4 years in L3 production support environment [JD AIX | Excel] Role Summary The IBM AIX L3 Administrator acts as the highest level of technical escalation for IBM Power Systems and AIX environments, responsible for architecture, performance tuning, troubleshooting, high availability, disaster recovery, automation, and technical leadership. Key Responsibilities

Provide L3 support for production AIX environments. • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major incidents. • Lead installation, configuration, migration, and upgrade activities. • Ensure adherence to ITIL processes, SLAs, and operational procedures. • Design and maintain High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions. • Plan and execute capacity management and performance tuning activities. • Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and architecture documents. • Mentor L1/L2 team members and provide technical guidance. • Coordinate with OEM vendors and infrastructure teams. • Drive automation initiatives using Shell/Korn shell scripting. • Support 24x7 critical production environments. IBM AIX Administration • Installation, configuration, and administration of IBM AIX on Power Servers. • AIX OS patching, TL/SP upgrades, security remediation. • User, filesystem, process, and kernel administration. • NIM Server administration and mksysb recovery. IBM Power Systems • IBM Power8/Power9/Power10 platform administration. • HMC (Hardware Management Console) administration. • LPAR, DLPAR, Micro-partitioning management. • VIOS (Virtual I/O Server) administration. [JD AIX | Excel] Storage & Virtualization • LVM (Logical Volume Manager). • Veritas Volume Manager. • SAN/NAS Storage administration. • NPIV, SEA, Virtual SCSI configurations. • PowerVM administration.
