Senior DevOps Engineer (Level 7)
Overview
Mastercard is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to build and operate resilient, scalable, and secure infrastructure supporting mission-critical payment systems. This role combines expertise in cloud platforms, automation, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, observability, and production operations.
Role
Design and maintain cloud-native platforms, automate infrastructure, enhance observability, improve reliability, lead incident resolution, and champion DevOps and SRE best practices.
Key Responsibilities
• AWS infrastructure engineering and cloud modernization
• Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK, CloudFormation, and Terraform
• CI/CD pipeline development and release automation
• Production support, SRE practices, and incident management
• Monitoring and observability using Splunk, Dynatrace, CloudWatch, and New Relic
• Docker, Kubernetes, and platform engineering
• Automation through Shell, Groovy, and Python scripting
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering experience
• Strong AWS expertise
• CI/CD, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes experience
• Strong troubleshooting and automation skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication
Preferred Qualifications
• AWS Certifications
• Financial services or payments industry experience
• Azure or GCP exposure
• Cloud security and compliance knowledge
