Senior Technical Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Performance Tester to validate the performance, stability, and scalability of enterprise applications under various workload conditions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and analyzing performance tests to ensure applications meet defined non-functional requirements (NFRs) and business expectations. The role requires expertise in performance testing tools, workload modeling, test execution, monitoring, and reporting while working closely with QA, development, and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute performance testing activities including: Load Testing, Stress Testing, Spike Testing,Endurance/Soak Testing, Volume Testing & Capacity Testing
Create and maintain performance test scripts using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, k6, or blazemeter.
Analyze application response times, throughput, resource utilization, and error rates during performance tests.
Validate system performance against defined Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Prepare workload models and test scenarios based on production usage patterns and business requirements.
Identify and document performance bottlenecks observed during testing and collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for resolution.
Conduct baseline, benchmark, and comparative performance testing.
Monitor application and server metrics during test execution using monitoring and APM tools.
Execute performance tests across Web, API, Microservices, and Cloud-based applications.
Generate detailed performance test reports, share findings, and provide recommendations for performance improvements.
Support performance testing activities within CI/CD pipelines and release validation processes.
Participate in test planning, requirement reviews, and performance risk assessments.

Skill Requirements

Strong experience in Performance Testing methodologies and best practices.
Hands-on expertise with performance testing tools such as: Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, k6 & Blazemeter
Experience creating and maintaining performance test scripts and test data.
Good understanding of workload modeling and performance test planning.
Experience in analyzing performance test results, logs, and monitoring data.
Hands-on experience with APM and monitoring tools such as:Dynatrace,AppDynamics,New Relic & Grafana
Knowledge of Web Applications, REST APIs, and Microservices architecture.
Experience using log analysis tools such as Splunk.
Understanding of application, web server, and database performance metrics.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and query execution.
Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
