Senior Structural Manager

The position is responsible for managing and executing all the structural projects assigned to this role. The position is responsible for successful initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control and successful closure of the projects assigned. The role comprises of administrative tasks, forecasting, planning, risk identification, change order management, billing, payments etc. all the way up to commercial closure of the project. Core duties include being a Subject Matter Expert on various structural analysis, This position is also expected to ensure that risks residing within project are identified and detailed risk management plan is prepared and executed properly. The position will be responsible for coordination with Project Management teams & other COE teams in guiding with the correct data capturing and delivering the desired design outputs as per the customer requirements.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITY

Area of Responsibility

Financials

· Plan & ensure Revenue Plan & deliver as per timelines for all the projects assigned

· Ownership for assigned Projects including its financial performance

· Ensure contractual obligations are met & work certifications are achieved on time

· Ensure proper risk management plan is prepared & executed to achieve positive gross margin deviations

Growth and Productivity

· Responsible for ensuring proper support is given to the growth initiative of company YOY (Year on Year) in terms of revenue numbers and acquiring new customers and business opportunities

· Effectively leads the implementation of productivity enhancing process changes related to project delivery

· Controls cost and maximize productivity through the utilization of effective  processes 

Structure Management

· Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Structural, and related, building systems, design standards and building program templates

· Hydrological analysis and water way calculation for bridges and selection of bridges span and type of bridges

· Assisting Design Manager in civil structural designs

· Preparation of general arrangement structural drawings as well as Detailed Design of RCC & steel structures (Sub structure & Superstructure of bridges) as per IRS and IRC

· Coordination & discussion with consultant / client / authorities to get approval of design and drawings according to requirements of project standards

· Excellence in conducting quantity estimation / BOQ of the structures including feasibility studies, assessment of the requirements, interface and commissioning.

· Serve as primary technical Structural SME for design reviews of multiple building program templates and site-specific designs

· Lead review and response to program-wide structural Requests for Information (RFIs)

· Demonstrate proficiency in the design and detailing of structural systems with a clear understanding of the impacts of structural design on adjacent components and systems

· Takes complete ownership, ensuring multiple design programs and several in-flight construction projects are supported

· Clear understanding of field constructability preferences, including project sequencing and scheduling constraints

· Thinks and operates strategically, efficiently, and frugally in all role responsibilities

· Defines complex program requirements and goal

· Accelerates progress by seeking out the best decision and being the responsible decision-maker in critical design discussions

· Responsible for adhering to defined scope as per the contract

· Responsible for tracking and maintaining Plan Vs Actual schedule of the project

· Responsible for ensuring the quality standards set by the organization are met for each & every project

· Responsible for risk management plan and it’s execution for risk identification, risk assessment and risk mitigation

· Monitor and control internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects

· Create and maintain comprehensive project file which will cover all aspects of project right from initiation to closure including lessons learnt as well

Customer Satisfaction

SOP

· Ensure that participation is made in making / establishing the Standard Operating Processes (SOP) either on organization / department / project level

· Ensure that the SOP’s that have been agreed are deployed and adhered to 100%

Resource Planning

· Ensures projects are resourced properly

· Develops effective partnerships with subcontractors and vendors to ensure an adequate pool of resources is available  

· Ensure over 95% utilization of allocated resources

People Management

· Responsible for ensuring a uniformly distributed work loading (duty roaster) to ensure better utilization

· Responsible for ensuring skill set mapping of each & every employee and guiding them into suggesting right trainings for enhancement purpose

· Ensure all team member go through mandatory training of 5 days in the entire year

· Responsible for setting right targets as a top down approach within the KRA & KPI documents with a sign off all the team members

· Ensure that the KRA’s & KPI’s agreed both for self and employees are reported and discussed on quarterly basis and appropriate changes and suggestions are initiated for monitoring purpose

· Responsible for adhering to the timelines given by the HR department in relation to KRA & KPI setting, agreement, reviews, changes and monitoring

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education level and/or relevant experience(s)

· M Tech  in Structural Engineering

· BE/ B Tech in Civil Engineering

· Minimum 12 to 15 years of experience

· STAAD PRO.

· MIDAS CIVIL

· LUSAS

· PMP, Primavera Certification (Optional)
