Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Accountant (3–6 years experience) to own end-to-end delivery for a portfolio of clients under our Virtual Accountant (VA).

You will be responsible for maintaining clean books, ensuring compliance (GST, TDS), preparing MIS, and acting as the first point of contact for clients on routine operations — with a review layer above you.

Where You Can Create Impact:

• Own end-to-end bookkeeping for multiple clients, including ledger scrutiny, reconciliations, and month-end closures
• Manage GST compliance (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, 2A/2B reconciliation, annual return support)
• Handle TDS compliance (deductions, returns, Form 16/16A, 26AS reconciliation)
• Review work completed by junior associates and ensure quality before delivery
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients for routine queries and updates
• Conduct monthly review calls and manage ongoing client communication
• Prepare monthly MIS reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, basic variance analysis)
• Maintain proper documentation, audit trails, and SOP adherence
• Support and guide junior associates on workflows and best practices
  

Tools & Systems You’ll Work With 

• Accounting Software: Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or equivalent 

• Compliance Platforms: GST portal, TRACES, DSC tools 

• Spreadsheets & Reporting: Excel/Google Sheets 

• Internal workflow tools and client portals 

Requirements for the Role 

Must Have

• 3–6 years of hands-on accounting experience (CA articleship included)
• Strong experience in bookkeeping using Tally
• Working knowledge of GST (returns, reconciliations)
• Working knowledge of TDS (sections, rates, returns, certificates, 26AS reconciliation)
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, reconciliation sheets)
• Working knowledge of MS Word for documentation and client deliverables
• Strong documentation discipline and audit trail management
• Good spoken and written English for client-facing communication

Good to Have

• Experience with MIS reporting and dashboards
• Basic financial analysis (variance analysis, ratio analysis)
• Prior experience reviewing or supervising junior team members
• Exposure to startups, SMEs, or professional services clients
• Familiarity with ROC/MCA filings, PT, PF, and ESI compliance
