Resident - General Medicine

• Assess, examine, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with acute and chronic medical illnesses.
• Take detailed patient history and perform thorough physical examinations.
• Formulate and implement appropriate treatment plans under the guidance of consultants.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as required.
• Attend emergency medical situations and provide prompt medical intervention.
• Conduct regular inpatient rounds and ensure continuity of care.
• Interpret clinical findings, laboratory reports, radiological investigations, and other diagnostic tests.
• Participate in the management of critically ill patients when required.

Patient Care

• Provide evidence-based, patient-centered care.
• Counsel patients and family members regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and preventive healthcare measures.
• Ensure timely referral to specialty departments whenever necessary.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
• Complete discharge summaries, case sheets, prescriptions, progress notes, and clinical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, NABH standards, and statutory regulations.
• Report clinical incidents and adverse events according to hospital guidelines.

Coordination & Communication

• Collaborate with consultants, nursing staff, and allied healthcare professionals for effective patient management.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case discussions.
• Ensure smooth communication during patient handovers and shift changes.
