It delivers M&E engineering, construction and services for industrial, commercial and infrastructure clients. The role The Project Director provides leadership and overall accountability for the delivery of large and complex M&E projects in the built environment. This position leads M&E projects for airport infrastructure. The role covers project execution, client relationships, commercial performance, contract administration, dispute resolution, risk management, governance and team leadership, so that projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality. Key responsibilities Project leadership and delivery Lead all aspects of project delivery from award through completion and handover. Set project execution strategies, resource plans and delivery objectives in line with project and business targets. Monitor performance, schedule, productivity, cost, quality, safety and risk. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, client specifications, engineering standards and company procedures. Drive the timely resolution of critical issues and the achievement of project milestones. Client and stakeholder management Develop strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, government agencies and other stakeholders. Act as senior representative and main escalation point for clients on project matters. Promote client satisfaction, repeat business and long-term partnerships. Lead executive meetings, progress reviews and stakeholder engagement. Commercial and contract management Manage the contractual, commercial and financial aspects of projects to achieve profitability and business objectives. Oversee contract administration, variations, claims, extension of time submissions and commercial negotiations. Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and governance requirements. Dispute resolution and risk management Lead the resolution of project disputes, contractual disagreements and complex stakeholder issues. Give direction on project risks, claims and conflict situations. Work with project teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors and legal stakeholders to reach practical and commercially sound outcomes. Reporting and performance management Review project budgets, forecasts, cash flow and cost control measures. Prepare and present monthly management reports on project status, financial performance, key risks, safety and contractual matters. Update senior management regularly with recommendations on project performance and strategic issues. Technical leadership Provide technical leadership in at least one M&E discipline: Electrical Engineering, ACMV systems or Fire Protection systems. Support engineering reviews, technical approvals, design coordination, testing and commissioning, and operational readiness. People leadership Lead, mentor and develop Project Managers, Engineers and site management teams. Build a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. Support talent development, succession planning and capability building. Ethics, compliance and governance Uphold high standards of integrity, ethical conduct and corporate governance. Ensure compliance with company policies on anti-corruption, anti-bribery, competition, sanctions, human rights and conflicts of interest. Ensure employees, subcontractors, suppliers and partners comply with legal, regulatory and ethical requirements. Support audits, compliance reviews, investigations and corrective actions as required. Profile Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline, with at least 15 years of relevant experience in M&E, construction, infrastructure, industrial, healthcare, commercial, data centre or built environment projects. Diploma holders with at least 20 years of relevant experience, including senior project leadership, will also be considered. Professional certification such as PE, PMP, Chartered Engineer or equivalent is an advantage. Experience delivering M&E projects in airport or other large, operational infrastructure environments is preferred. Proven track record managing large and complex M&E projects with full accountability for delivery, commercial performance and stakeholders. Experience in contract administration, claims, dispute resolution, risk management and commercial negotiations. Experience managing client relationships at executive and senior management level. Strong knowledge of local regulations, safety requirements and industry standards. Strong leadership, negotiation, communication and decision-making skills, with the ability to deliver results through multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
