About this role
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operation theatre before surgical procedures.
- Ensure all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are available and ready.
- Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures.
- Maintain proper sterilization and infection-control standards.
- Arrange and handle surgical instruments as required during procedures.
- Check OT equipment and ensure it is functioning properly.
- Assist with patient positioning and safe transfer to and from the OT.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper hygiene of the operation theatre.
- Prepare and manage surgical trays, linen, and consumables.
- Maintain records of surgical procedures, instruments, and OT supplies.
- Follow hospital safety protocols and infection-control guidelines.
- Assist in cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of instruments after procedures.
Qualification:
- Diploma/B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology or equivalent.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures, sterilization, and OT protocols.
- Good teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in shifts.
