About this role

Looking for Philippines-based candidates

Job Role: Marketing Manager

Compensation range: $2,100 - $3,300 AUD/ Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM AEST, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is: The client is one of Sydney's leading property advisory businesses, known for an intelligent, evidence-led approach rather than hype. They've grown quickly on the strength of their reputation, their founder's personal brand, and a strong content engine. The brand is premium, understated, and distinctly Australian, and they're now building out their first internal marketing function.

Role Overview: This is the founding hire of the client's internal marketing department, with real autonomy to own marketing across the business. Marketing currently runs as a strong but disconnected set of activities across external agencies, this role exists to bring that in-house, connect it, and run it as one system.

The initial focus is understanding the marketing landscape, ensuring smooth content distribution with the existing virtual assistant, and building a connected marketing strategy across all channels. From there, this role will grow the function and team including helping define and hire future team members with team management responsibilities expected to begin within 3–6 months.

A bonus incentive is on offer for the right candidate, structured as a percentage of revenue generated by marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy and Integration

  • Build the overarching marketing strategy and connect channels into one funnel (e.g. capturing and retargeting website visitors through email and newsletter, tying organic and paid together)
  • Own audience segmentation and retargeting across the database and all channels
  • Build and run lifecycle and email marketing in ActiveCampaign, including the weekly newsletter and email capture, improving segmentation and launching a dedicated investor newsletter
  • Implement chat automation (ManyChat) across social and web to capture and convert leads

Content and Production Workflow

  • Own the entire content workflow: idea creation, getting raw files to the editing team, and scheduling finished assets
  • Oversee and distribute content across podcast, YouTube, YouTube Shorts, Meta, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn
  • Work with the existing virtual assistant to ensure current content is distributed smoothly and on a consistent cadence
  • Manage and grow multiple brand accounts in a consistent brand voice (premium, understated, Australian — brand voice document to be provided)

Oversight and Reporting

  • Oversee and hold external SEO and Google agencies accountable, ensuring their work feeds the wider funnel
  • Oversee paid activity across Meta for multiple business divisions
  • Report on what's driving enquiries and leads, focused on outcomes rather than vanity metrics

Own It and Build the Department

  • Own marketing with genuine autonomy and accountability for the whole function
  • Help lead the transition of marketing from external agencies to an in-house team
  • As internal roles are hired beneath this position (expected from 3–6 months), manage and lead that growing team
  • Help define and hire the people who will sit underneath this role as the function scales

Essential

  • 5+ years in digital marketing, with a genuine blend of strategy and hands-on execution
  • Demonstrated experience building marketing strategy and connecting multi-channel funnels
  • Strong experience with Salesforce, GoHighLevel, and/or ActiveCampaign — email marketing, automation, audience segmentation and retargeting (must-have)
  • Experience implementing chat automation tools such as ManyChat (must-have)
  • Ability and willingness to learn new marketing technologies as required
  • Experience managing content production workflows and scheduling at volume across multiple platforms
  • Experience overseeing or coordinating external agencies
  • Excellent written English with strong brand-voice judgement
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to build process from scratch
  • Strong understanding of how to apply AI to marketing tasks (e.g. lead magnet creation)

Desirable

  • Property, finance, or premium/luxury brand experience
  • Experience hiring or leading remote team members

Work Arrangement & Expectations:

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.

To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
  • Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor”)
