POSITION PURPOSE
The SCM Executive will support the Supply Chain Management function for the Pharma & Semiconductor vertical by ensuring efficient vendor sourcing, qualification, and procurement coordination throughout the project lifecycle. The role will serve as the custodian of the Vendor Pre-Qualification (PQ) process, ensuring compliance with established procedures while building a reliable and scalable vendor ecosystem.
The incumbent will collaborate closely with Engineering, Estimation, Business Development, Project Management, Quality, and Commercial teams to identify capable vendors, facilitate vendor onboarding, conduct assessments, and maintain robust procurement governance. This role offers an opportunity to establish best-in-class sourcing practices and contribute to building a strategic procurement function for one of the company's fastest-growing business verticals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic Vendor Sourcing
- Understand project requirements and identify suitable vendors capable of meeting technical, commercial, quality, and delivery expectations.
- Develop sourcing strategies aligned with project requirements and business objectives.
- Expand and strengthen the vendor base across Pharma and Semiconductor project categories.
2. Vendor Pre-Qualification (PQ) Management
- Act as the custodian of the Vendor Pre-Qualification (PQ) process.
- Guide vendors through the complete PQ process and ensure timely submission of all required documentation.
- Verify completeness and compliance of vendor submissions before evaluation.
3. Vendor Evaluation & Assessment
- Coordinate technical and commercial evaluations with internal stakeholders.
- Conduct vendor audits, factory visits, and capability assessments as required.
- Prepare vendor assessment reports and recommend qualification status.
4. Vendor Relationship Management
- Maintain professional relationships with vendors while ensuring transparency and fairness throughout the sourcing process.
- Address vendor queries and facilitate smooth onboarding.
- Ensure equal opportunity and ethical treatment for all participating vendors.
5. Site Visits & Field Coordination
- Visit manufacturing facilities, supplier locations, and project sites to verify capabilities and support procurement activities.
- Coordinate with project teams during vendor inspections and technical assessments.
- Prepare visit reports with observations and recommendations.
6. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain complete and accurate vendor records, qualification documents, approvals, agreements, and compliance certificates.
- Ensure procurement documentation adheres to company standards and audit requirements.
- Maintain procurement trackers and vendor databases with high accuracy.
7. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Engineering, Estimation, Project Management, Commercial, Finance, and Quality teams to facilitate timely vendor approvals and procurement activities.
- Track action items and ensure timely closure of sourcing and qualification activities.
8. Process Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure adherence to SCM policies, procurement procedures, and governance standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement workflows, vendor qualification processes, and digital systems.
- Support the development of standardized procurement templates, trackers, and best practices.
9. Ownership & Organizational Development
- Take ownership of building scalable procurement and vendor management systems for the Pharma & Semiconductor vertical.
- Contribute to strengthening procurement governance and organizational capability through continuous learning and process improvement initiatives.

EDUCATION
Mandatory
• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
Preferred Certifications
• Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred)
• Supply Chain or Procurement Certification (CIPS, ISM or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE (MANDATORY)
• Freshers are encouraged to apply.
• Internship or project experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Vendor Management, Manufacturing, or EPC projects will be an added advantage.
• Willingness to travel for vendor assessments, factory audits, and project site visits.
• Strong interest in strategic sourcing, procurement processes, and vendor development.
