POSITION PURPOSE
The Engineer - Projects (Electrical) supports project teams in planning, coordinating, and executing electrical works on assigned projects. The role works closely with the Project Manager, site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery — on time, within budget, and in line with quality and safety standards.
The Engineer - Projects (Electrical) owns execution of the electrical scope on assigned projects — from material planning and site coordination through installation, testing & commissioning, documentation, billing, and final handover — while ensuring safety, quality, budget adherence, and customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Project Planning & Execution
• Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating electrical construction activities for assigned projects.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contracts to ensure compliance with design and building codes.
• Monitor project progress against key milestones and the approved execution schedule.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure work is progressing per plan, drawings, and safety standards.
• Ensure electrical installation is completed on schedule with zero escalations, keeping all data trackers updated.
• Handle project business volume of approx. INR 5 Cr. and achieve targeted revenue (supply + installation) as per the Annual Operating Plan.
2. Material & Procurement Coordination
• Support procurement by preparing material submittals and tracking deliveries.
• Coordinate material availability at site and circulate timely information on material status.
• Ensure all billable material documents are submitted on time.
• Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking for electrical scopes.
• Ensure optimum utilisation of manpower, machinery, electricity, and consumables as per the operating budget.
• Utilise software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and project management platforms (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project).
3. Quality & Safety
• Ensure client SLAs are adhered to with zero Final Quality Control (FQC) rejections.
• Apply knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant construction safety standards.
• Ensure a safe workplace to avoid health hazards and accidents on site.
• Ensure 100% compliance with statutory, ISO, customer-specific, and internal audits.
• Understand electrical systems — power distribution, lighting, grounding, and fire alarm systems — and their code requirements.
4. Commercial & Documentation
• Raise one bill per project per month, with all supporting and statutory documents, and review variation statements weekly with the Manager.
• Maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and daily reports.
• Collect and prepare all relevant handover documents per client requirements, tracked within turnaround time (>95%).
• Monitor plan vs. actual billing and support timely certification and collections.
5. Stakeholder Coordination
• Collaborate with field supervisors to resolve technical and construction issues.
• Communicate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to support project goals.
• Work hands-on with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth execution.
• Adhere to turnaround time (≥90%) for customer queries and responses.
6. Commissioning & Handover
• Assist in commissioning, testing, and project close-out procedures for the electrical scope.
• Support Testing & Commissioning (T&C) and Integrated System Testing (IST) activities where applicable.
• Support customer acceptance processes and final handover documentation.
• Track and close out punch-list items ahead of client handover.
7. Process & Systems
• Modify, update, communicate, and implement SOPs for all processes as per defined success parameters for Projects.
• Update correct data for timely submission of reports and analytics; ensure data integrity.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and BOQs accurately.
• Support large-scale commercial, industrial, or infrastructure electrical projects, including exposure to AutoCAD/BIM.
8. Team Engagement & Governance
• Build a learning culture by attending workshops, seminars, and industry meetings to enhance self and team skills.
• Adhere to SOCH principles, including a minimum of 1 SOCH / community service experience per month.
• Maintain the highest standards of Safety, Quality, and Ethics on all assigned projects.
• Be available to work across office and field environments, including active construction sites, with occasional travel and extended hours.

EDUCATION
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Mandatory).
• Diploma/Certification in Project Management or a related discipline will be an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE (MANDATORY)
• 1–5 years of experience in electrical construction or MEP project execution, with exposure to large-scale commercial, industrial, or infrastructure electrical projects.
• Hands-on experience in electrical works execution — power distribution, lighting, grounding, and fire alarm systems — is preferred.
• Ability to handle project business volume of approx. INR 5 Cr., covering material planning, execution, testing & commissioning, documentation, and billing for the assigned scope.
• Working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable construction safety standards.
• Strong knowledge of / exposure to:
