Job Description: Engineer – Billing - MPR-1148

Position Overview

We are seeking an Engineer – Billing with 3–7 years of professional experience to support the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of billing-related systems and processes. The role will focus on ensuring accurate, reliable, and efficient billing operations through effective technical implementation, issue resolution, system integration, and continuous process improvement.

The successful candidate will work closely with relevant business and technical stakeholders to understand billing requirements, implement scalable solutions, troubleshoot production issues, and maintain the integrity of billing data and transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain billing-related applications, modules, and workflows.
• Translate billing requirements and business processes into effective technical solutions.
• Support the implementation of billing features, enhancements, pricing rules, invoicing workflows, and related system functionality.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve billing discrepancies, application defects, and production issues in a timely manner.
• Analyze billing transactions and system outputs to identify errors, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, regression, and functional tests to ensure billing solutions meet defined requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integrations involving billing, customer, payment, order, and financial data.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, process documentation, configuration details, and issue-resolution records.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, release activities, and deployment support as required.
• Monitor system performance and data quality to help ensure accurate and uninterrupted billing operations.
• Contribute to process automation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives within the billing function.
• Follow established security, data-protection, development, change-management, and quality standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 3–7 years of professional experience in billing engineering, software engineering, application support, systems engineering, or a related technical role.
• Experience working with billing systems, invoicing processes, transaction processing, or revenue-related applications.
• Strong understanding of software development and application support life cycles.
• Ability to analyze requirements, billing data, system behavior, and technical issues effectively.
• Experience with testing, debugging, defect resolution, and production support activities.
• Good understanding of database concepts, data validation, and system integrations.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver reliable billing solutions.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
