Position: Staff Nurse – ICN / Critical Care

Job Summary:
Responsible for providing safe, compassionate and evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU/ICN. The nurse will continuously monitor patients, administer prescribed treatments, assist with emergency procedures and coordinate with intensivists and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients.
- Continuously monitorΒ vital signs, ECG, SpO?, BP and other clinical parameters.
- Administer medications, IV fluids and infusions as prescribed.
- Monitor and manage patients onΒ mechanical ventilation and respiratory support.
- Assist doctors during emergency procedures, CPR and resuscitation.
- Maintain and monitor invasive lines, drains, catheters and other ICU devices.
- Perform accurate patient assessment and promptly report clinical deterioration.
- Maintain proper nursing notes, patient records and ICU documentation.
- Follow infection-control, hand-hygiene and isolation protocols.
- Assist with blood/sample collection and diagnostic procedures.
- Coordinate with doctors, respiratory therapists, physiotherapists, laboratory and other departments.
- Provide nutritional, hygiene, comfort and pressure-sore prevention care.
- Educate and communicate appropriately with patients' attendants.
- Ensure safe handling and functioning of ICU equipment.
- Follow Apollo Hospital policies, clinical protocols and patient-safety standards.
- Participate in emergency drills, training and continuing nursing education.
Eligibility:
- GNM / B.Sc Nursing
- Valid Nursing Council Registration
- ICU/Critical Care experience preferred.
- Freshers may be considered depending on vacancy and department requirements.
