We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Gym Manager to oversee our gym facilities at db San Antonio Hotel + Spa and Xemxija Bay Hotel.

Role Overview

The Gym Manager will be responsible for the overall management and daily operation of both gym facilities. The successful candidate will ensure that each gym provides a safe, welcoming, and professional environment while maintaining excellent service standards and supporting the health and fitness goals of guests and members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the gyms across both hotel properties.
• Lead, motivate, and manage the gym team.
• Develop fitness programmes, classes, and wellness initiatives.
• Ensure all gym equipment is properly maintained and regularly inspected.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and handle feedback professionally.
• Manage staff schedules, training, and performance.
• Support membership sales and promote gym services and packages.
• Monitor departmental costs, stock levels, and operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.
• Work closely with hotel management and other departments to enhance the overall guest experience.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in gym, fitness, leisure, or wellness management.
• A recognised qualification in fitness, personal training, or a related field.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer-service abilities.
• Good knowledge of gym operations, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to promote memberships and services.
• Flexibility to work across both properties, including weekends and public holidays when required.
