The Real Estate Board invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following post that is to be assigned to the upcoming Real Estate Authority of Jamaica (REAJ): 


Course Coordinator (Pre-Licensing Courses) (Level 8)

Vacant Post – Three-year contract

Salary Range: $5,198,035 – $6,990,779 per annum


Job Summary


Under the general direction of the Senior Director/Principal, the Course Coordinator (Pre-Licensing Courses) is responsible for the planning, coordination, and quality assurance of real estate education programmes designed to meet the requirements of the Real Estate Board. The role ensures that courses comply with regulatory and accreditation standards, are delivered effectively, and support candidate success in examinations and professional practice.

 

Key Responsibilities


Programme & Curriculum Coordination


  • Coordinate the delivery of real estate pre-licensing and related professional courses.
  • Ensure course content aligns with the requirements of the Real Estate Board, licensing authorities, and applicable legislation.
  • Support curriculum development, updates, and revisions to reflect changes in laws, regulations, and industry practices.
  • Ensure learning outcomes prepare candidates for licensing examinations and professional competence.

 

Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance


  • Ensure full compliance with the requirements of regulatory bodies, accreditation standards, and inspection requirements.
  • Maintain accurate course documentation, attendance records, assessment files, and learner results.
  • Coordinate preparation for inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews.
  • Monitor assessment standards, examination procedures, and moderation processes.

 

Facilitator & Instructor Coordination


  • Liaise with facilitators, lecturers, and industry practitioners delivering courses.
  • Ensure instructors are qualified, briefed, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate teaching schedules, materials, and assessment timelines.
  • Monitor course delivery and gather feedback to support continuous improvement.

 

Student & Candidate Support


  • Act as the primary point of contact for students with the Real Estate Board.
  • Support registration, orientation, attendance tracking, and progression monitoring.
  • Address course-related queries, complaints, or appeals in accordance with institutional policies.
  • Provide guidance on examination requirements, course completion, and certification.



Administrative Responsibilities


  • Maintain accurate learner records, certificates, and completion reports.
  • Prepare reports for management, regulators, and accrediting bodies as required.
  • Coordinate examination sittings, assessments, and certification processes.
  • Support marketing and admissions teams with accurate course schedules and regulatory information.

 

Human Resource Responsibilities


  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of direct report, prepare performance appraisals and recommend and/or initiates corrective action where necessary to improve performance and/or attaining established personal and/or organizational goals.
  • Participate in the recruitment of staff for the Institute and recommend promotions, termination and leave in accordance with established human resource policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff through effective planning, delegation, communication, training, mentoring and coaching.
  • Establish and maintain a system that fosters a culture of teamwork, employee empowerment and commitment to the Institute’s and Authority’s goals.

Minimum Education & Experience


  • Master’s degree in real estate, business administration, education, law, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in real estate education, licensing programmes, or regulated professional training.
  • Working knowledge of real estate legislation, licensing requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience working with adult learners and professional candidates.
  • Supervisory experience.
