Category Manager-MEP / LLE Equipment, Data Center & Cloud Services

Responsible for Procurement & Category Management of MEP / LLE Equipment (Power Transformers, GIS, Switchgear, DG Sets, Distribution Transformers, HVAC, Chiller, PAHU, FWU, CDUs, PDUs, UPS, Batteries, Fire Suppression System, ELV System like BMS, Access Control, CCTV, Biometric etc.), Service Contracts for Consultants, Feasibility Studies, Contractors etc. for Data center business.

Key Responsibilities

1. Managing complete PR to PO process including RFPs, obtaining offers, Comparative evaluations, Negotiations, Placement of Purchase Orders & Logistics.
2. Managing Category by Strategic sourcing, Budgeting, New Vendor developments, Vendor Rationalization, Rate Contracts, Partnership Agreements, Vendor Management etc. 
3. Cost Effective Procurement within the budgeted cost / targets, TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) evaluation.
4. Obtain approvals according to Delegation of Authority.
5. Ensuring TAT to adhere timely actions for PR to PO process.
6. Managing Vendor On-boarding process & Vendor Assessment to ensure their capabilities / quality, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) with Vendors.
7. Contract Formulations, Preparing Terms & Conditions of Purchase Order, SLA finalization & Contract Management.
8. Ensuring OTIF-Delivery of supplies & services as per the Contract terms.
9. Cost Estimation, Forecasting, Price Trend Analysis for the Category items.
10. MIS report submission on monthly basis, Spend Analysis.
11. Vendor Performance Evaluation & Monitoring on regular intervals.
12. Ensuring Procurement Compliance as per Internal Finance Control guidelines, ISO compliances adherence.
13. Smooth Coordination with various internal & external stakeholders.
14. Support Pre-sales team for various RFPs & Bids.
15. Knowledge of SAP-MM Module.
16. Team Management, People Development.

Qualifications and Experience

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (degree, training, or certification required)

BE/B-Tech or equivalent with Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. MBA-Operations/Supply Chain will be added advantage

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:  (no. of years of technical, functional, and/or leadership experience or specific exposure required)

1. 15 years+ procurement experience in relevant category.
2. Must have experience on SAP-MM Module for minimum 5 years.
3. Must have handled various MEP / LLE Equipment for minimum 10 Years.
4. Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PPT).
5. Familiarity of ISO 9K / 14K / 45K / 20K / 22K / 27K would be added advantage.
6. Should be excellent in communication skills (written & verbal).
7. Should be target oriented, time bound and achieve goals.
8. Should possess good Interpersonal Skills, Problem Solving attitude, Critical Thinking, Collaborative approach, Persuasive skills & Analytical skills.
9. Must have high standards of integrity & ethics.
10. Good Team player & go-getter.
11. Relevant experience in similar industry of Data Centre would be added advantage.
