About this role

SECTION II: JOB PURPOSE

To lead the design, planning, and integration of Airport ICT Systems, ensuring seamless interoperability between business, operational, and passenger processing platforms while maintaining compliance with airport operational requirements, cybersecurity standards, and industry best practices. The role serves as the primary client-facing ICT design lead responsible for design reviews, stakeholder engagement, authority approvals, and coordination with Master System Integrators (MSI), consultants, and specialist vendors.


SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Lead the design and coordination of Airport ICT systems including AODB, A-CDM, FIDS, CUPPS, CUSS, Resource Management Systems (RMS), Flight Information Systems, Airport Operational Control Centre (AOCC), Airport Data Networks, Structured Cabling, Wi-Fi, Telephony, IPTV, and Data Centre Infrastructure.

  2. Develop ICT system architecture, interface definitions, integration philosophy, and end-to-end operational workflows across airport business and operational systems.

  3. Act as the primary client-facing ICT design representative for design presentations, workshops, technical reviews, and approval meetings.

  4. Coordinate with Master System Integrators (MSI), airport operators, airlines, consultants, and specialist vendors to ensure seamless system interoperability and integration.

  5. Review ICT design submissions, drawings, network architecture, system schematics, technical specifications, I/O schedules, interface matrices, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for accuracy and compliance.

  6. Ensure successful integration of airport ICT systems with ELV, airside operational systems, baggage handling systems, security systems, building automation systems, and enterprise platforms.

  7. Lead design validation activities, capacity planning, redundancy analysis, cybersecurity reviews, and technology optimization initiatives.

  8. Define system availability, reliability, disaster recovery, business continuity, and performance requirements for critical airport operations.

  9. Review vendor proposals, compliance matrices, technical submittals, and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) / Site Acceptance Test (SAT) documentation.

  10. Support project execution teams during implementation, testing, commissioning, operational readiness, and airport opening activities.

  11. Ensure compliance with ICAO, IATA, ACI, Airport Authority requirements, cybersecurity frameworks, and applicable international ICT standards.

  12. Facilitate stakeholder workshops and operational requirement capture sessions with airport operators, airlines, government agencies, security authorities, and other stakeholders.

  • Planning, Procurement, QA/QC, and Commissioning Teams | To align specifications, procurement strategies, testing requirements, and quality standards.

  • Airport Operators and Clients | Design reviews, requirement validation, operational alignment, and design approvals.
  • Design Consultants and PMC Teams | Technical coordination and compliance verification.
  • Airlines and Ground Handling Agencies | Passenger processing and operational system requirements.
  • Master System Integrators (MSI) | System integration strategy, interface management, and operational testing coordination.
  • ICT Vendors and System Integrators | Technical alignment, compliance reviews, and integration planning.

SECTION V: KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

KNOWLEDGE

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Master's Degree in ICT, Systems Engineering, Airport Planning, or Management will be preferred.

Language Skills

  • Proficient in English for client engagement, technical documentation, and stakeholder presentations.
  • Working knowledge of local language for project coordination and stakeholder interaction.

  • Extensive experience in airport operational systems including:
    • AODB (Airport Operational Database)
    • A-CDM (Airport Collaborative Decision Making)
    • FIDS (Flight Information Display System)
    • RMS (Resource Management System)
    • CUPPS (Common Use Passenger Processing System)
    • CUSS (Common Use Self Service System)
    • BRS (Baggage Reconciliation System)
    • AOCC Systems
    • Airport Networks and Data Centres
    • Passenger Experience Technologies
  • Experience in managing ICT system interfaces through Master System Integrator (MSI) frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of ICAO, IATA, ACI, ISO 27001, BICSI, TIA/EIA, IEC, and cybersecurity standards.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, client presentations, design approvals, FAT/SAT, and operational readiness programs for airport projects.
