Job Summary

The SailPoint L2 Engineer is responsible for providing Level 2 operational support, administration, and troubleshooting for the SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) / IdentityNow platform and related identity governance processes. The role focuses on incident resolution, access provisioning, lifecycle management (Joiner-Mover-Leaver), application onboarding support, monitoring, and governance activities while ensuring adherence to security, compliance, and SLA requirements. The engineer will work closely with IAM architects, application teams, Service Desk, Active Directory teams, and business stakeholders to maintain a secure, scalable, and compliant identity management environment.

Key Responsibilities

IAM Operations & Support Provide L2 support for SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) / IdentityNow platforms. Monitor identity lifecycle processes including Joiner, Mover, and Leaver workflows. Troubleshoot provisioning, deprovisioning, aggregation, certification, and access request issues. Investigate and resolve failed tasks, connector issues, synchronization failures, and application integration problems. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents and implement corrective actions. Access Governance Support access certification campaigns, role management, and entitlement governance activities. Validate user access requests, approvals, and policy compliance. Assist in RBAC and ABAC implementation and maintenance. Support audit, compliance, and access review activities. Application & Platform Support Assist in onboarding and integration of applications into SailPoint. Support connectors such as Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, LDAP, JDBC, SCIM, Web Services, and ServiceNow. Perform configuration updates, role changes, policy modifications, and minor enhancements. Maintain platform health, monitoring dashboards, and operational reports. Service Management Manage incidents, service requests, changes, and problem tickets in accordance with ITIL practices. Ensure SLA adherence and timely resolution of customer issues. Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles. Participate in on-call and weekend support rotations as required

Skill Requirements

Experience 3 to 6 years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM). Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityNow / Identity Security Cloud (ISC) or SailPoint IIQ. Experience supporting enterprise IAM operations in a production environment. Technical Skills Strong understanding of: Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) processes Access Requests and Approvals Certification Campaigns Role and Entitlement Management Access Reviews and Compliance Hands-on experience with: SailPoint IdentityNow / ISC Active Directory Azure AD / Entra ID LDAP ServiceNow integration SQL queries and database fundamentals Knowledge of: REST APIs SCIM 2.0 JSON PowerShell scripting Identity connectors and Virtual Appliances

Other Requirements

SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) Certification. Experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ). Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or Terraform. Experience with CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Ping Identity, Entra ID Governance, or other IAM/PAM platforms. Knowledge of Datadog, Splunk, or enterprise monitoring tools. Experience with Role Mining, SoD (Segregation of Duties), and ABAC implementations. Understanding of Zero Trust security concepts. ITIL Foundation Certification. Experience in automation using PowerShell, Python, or SailPoint APIs.
