Academic Administration

• Coordinate and manage academic programs, conferences, workshops, CMEs, journal clubs, grand rounds, and case presentations conducted by the department.
• Develop and maintain annual academic calendars, training schedules, duty rosters, and educational activities.
• Ensure compliance with institutional, university, NMC, and specialty board requirements related to postgraduate and fellowship training.
• Maintain records of academic activities, attendance, assessments, and learning outcomes.

Teaching and Training

• Support faculty members in planning and implementing educational programs for residents, fellows, interns, and nursing staff.
• Monitor academic progress and competency development of postgraduate students and trainees.
• Facilitate orientation programs, skill development workshops, simulation-based learning, and continuing education initiatives.
• Coordinate examinations, evaluations, logbook verification, and certification processes.

Research and Publications

• Encourage and support departmental research initiatives, clinical trials, and evidence-based practice projects.
• Maintain a database of ongoing research, publications, abstracts, and presentations.
• Assist faculty and trainees in research protocol submissions, ethics committee approvals, and regulatory documentation.
• Track departmental research performance and support publication in peer-reviewed journals.

Quality and Accreditation Compliance

• Ensure all academic processes align with NABH, NMC, university, and institutional accreditation requirements.
• Maintain documentation related to academic audits, inspections, and accreditation assessments.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance review meetings.
• Monitor adherence to departmental policies, training standards, and academic governance practices.

Departmental Coordination

• Act as a communication link between faculty, students, residents, administration, and external academic agencies.
• Organize visiting faculty programs, guest lectures, academic collaborations, and exchange programs.
• Prepare periodic academic reports, departmental performance dashboards, and presentations for management review.
• Support departmental initiatives aimed at strengthening academic reputation and institutional excellence.
