  1. Perform and document history & physical examination
  2. Formulate differential diagnosis
  3. Develops and documents initial plan of care
  4. Modifies daily plan of care
  5. Writes daily progress notes
  6. Obtain and document informed consent
  7. Order appropriate referrals*
  8. Order appropriate investigations and follows up on results/reports*
  9. Interpret hemodynamic parameters in critically ill patients*
  10. Interpret laboratory & radiology results*
  11. Orders and oversees transfusions of blood and blood products*
  12. Order and administer appropriate medication and other orders as required*
  13. Prepare an appropriate discharge summary
  14. Communicate adequate written/verbal discharge instructions to inpatients
  15. Transportation of Intensive Care patients and Emergency patients to and fro for procedures
  16. Take care of Liver transplant patients both pre and post operatively
  1. Perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation
  2. Orders, adjusts artificial feeding modalities
  1. Inserts central venous catheter
  2. Performs oral endotracheal intubation
  3. Performs nasogastric intubation
  4. Inserts urethral catheter.
  5. Assist in endoscopic procedures*
  6. Inserts intravenous cannulation




 


*Trained designated staff (designee) to carry out duties and responsibilities required of the treating consultant under supervision/presence of Junior Consultant and above.
