Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations, clinical assessments, and follow-ups under the guidance of the Consultant.
• Obtain and document comprehensive patient history and perform appropriate clinical examinations.
• Assist the Consultant in diagnosis, treatment planning, and clinical decision-making.
• Review investigation reports and correlate findings with the patient's clinical condition.
• Monitor patients' clinical progress and identify changes requiring timely intervention.
• Develop and maintain accurate, complete, and timely patient medical records.
• Participate in ward rounds, outpatient consultations, procedures, case discussions, and clinical meetings as applicable.
• Coordinate with nursing, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and other multidisciplinary teams for continuity of patient care.
• Provide appropriate clinical instructions and ensure implementation of the treatment plan.
• Escalate critical findings, complications, and deteriorating patient conditions to the Consultant/Senior Consultant promptly.
• Assist in emergency management and provide appropriate initial clinical support within the scope of practice.
• Counsel patients and attendants regarding diagnosis, treatment, investigations, follow-up, and preventive care as appropriate.
• Ensure informed consent and other required clinical documentation are completed as per hospital protocols.
• Follow infection prevention and control practices, patient safety standards, and hospital clinical protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical audits, morbidity/mortality reviews, and other departmental initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with applicable medical ethics, statutory requirements, accreditation standards, and hospital policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
• Participate in continuing medical education, training programs, and professional development activities.
• Perform any other clinical responsibilities assigned by the Consultant/Clinical Head.
