Position

Location: Hospital
Job Purpose
To provide safe, compassionate, and quality nursing care to patients under the supervision of senior nursing staff, while ensuring compliance with hospital clinical protocols, infection-control standards, and patient-safety practices.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to patients as per the prescribed treatment plan and hospital protocols.
Monitor and record patients' vital signs, clinical condition, intake/output, and other relevant observations.
Assist doctors and senior nurses during clinical procedures, examinations, and treatments.
Administer medications and treatments as instructed and maintain accurate documentation.
Assist in patient admission, transfer, discharge, and preparation for procedures.
Maintain accurate and timely nursing records, patient files, and clinical documentation.
Ensure proper identification of patients before medication, procedures, investigations, and treatment.
Follow infection prevention and control practices, including hand hygiene and appropriate use of PPE.
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and readiness of the patient-care area and nursing equipment.
Identify and promptly report any deterioration in the patient's condition to the senior nurse/doctor.
Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide appropriate emotional support.
Educate patients and attendants regarding basic nursing care, medication instructions, hygiene, and discharge instructions as directed.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and availability of medicines, consumables, and nursing equipment.
Participate in emergency response and resuscitation activities as required.
Follow hospital policies, nursing standards, NABH requirements, and patient-safety protocols.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
Participate in training programs, audits, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
Perform any other nursing-related duties assigned by the Nursing In-charge or management.
Qualifications
B.Sc. Nursing / GNM from a recognized institution.
Valid nursing registration with the applicable State Nursing Council.
Relevant hospital experience will be preferred.
Freshers may be considered based on hospital requirements.
