Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and clinically competent Resident Doctor – Emergency Room (ER) to provide prompt medical assessment, stabilization, diagnosis, and initial management of patients presenting to the Emergency Department. The role involves working closely with consultants, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and appropriate patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform initial assessment and triage of patients presenting to the Emergency Department.

• Obtain detailed medical history and conduct appropriate physical examinations.

• Assess and stabilize patients with acute and life-threatening conditions.

• Initiate appropriate investigations, including laboratory tests, ECG, and imaging as indicated.

• Develop and implement initial treatment plans under the guidance of senior doctors/consultants.

• Manage common medical and surgical emergencies according to hospital protocols.

• Perform emergency procedures within the scope of training and authorization, including IV access, urinary catheterization, wound care, suturing, and basic airway management.

• Recognize deteriorating patients and initiate appropriate emergency interventions, including CPR when required.

• Coordinate referrals and consultations with relevant specialties.

• Monitor patients' clinical condition, treatment response, and vital signs.

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records, including case sheets, progress notes, treatment orders, and discharge summaries.
