About this role

Overview

BRMi is seeking a User Experience (UX) Designer to support the modernization of internal tools used by Member Service Representatives. This work supports the transition away from a legacy system that is reaching end of life, replacing it with modern, scalable, and user-centered solutions.

This role will partner closely with User Experience, Product Management, and Engineering teams to design efficient, intuitive tools that improve employee workflows and enhance the overall service experience for members. The contractor will work with teams leveraging Microsoft Dynamics and deliver high-quality, development-ready design solutions aligned with enterprise standards.

Salary: 104k-126k

 

**Can be 100% remote in TX, VA, MD, DC, or FL**

Responsibilities

  • Design modern, intuitive user experiences for internal tools used by Member Service Representatives
  • Translate legacy system functionality into streamlined, user-centered workflows and interfaces
  • Create high-fidelity user experience and user interface designs ready for development handoff
  • Apply and contribute to the enterprise design system to ensure consistency, accessibility, and scalability
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Engineering teams (including Microsoft Dynamics developers) to define and refine requirements
  • Participate in intake, refinement, and planning activities to ensure designs are complete and ready for development
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks in legacy workflows and propose improved design solutions
  • Support usability validation and iterate based on user and stakeholder feedback
  • Ensure alignment with compliance, accessibility, and enterprise design standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in User Experience (UX) design, User Interface (UI) design, or product design
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX design across complex or enterprise applications
  • Experience working with and contributing to design systems (Figma preferred)
  • Proven ability to deliver development-ready designs with clear interaction specifications
  • Experience collaborating directly with engineering teams in Agile environments

Desired:

  • Experience designing internal tools or employee-facing platforms (e.g., call center, operations, or service tools)
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics (Dynamics 365 or similar enterprise platforms)
  • Experience modernizing or replacing legacy systems
  • Understanding of accessibility standards, including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
  • Experience in financial services or other regulated industries

Tools:

  • Figma (design, prototyping, and design system usage)
  • Microsoft Dynamics (preferred experience)
  • Agile delivery tools (such as Azure DevOps or Jira)
  • Collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 suite)
