Job Summary

OpenShift Administrator Position Summary We are seeking an experienced OpenShift Platform Engineer responsible for the administration, support, automation, optimization, and lifecycle management of enterprise Red Hat OpenShift platforms. The candidate will be responsible for managing OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt), Networking, security, automation, and disaster recovery activities. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Administer and maintain Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP). • Manage cluster lifecycle activities including deployment, upgrades, patching, scaling, and decommissioning. • Perform OpenShift cluster health checks and platform maintenance. • Manage OpenShift Operators and Operator Lifecycle Management (OLM). • Troubleshoot cluster-related incidents and perform root cause analysis. • Ensure platform availability and operational stability. • Deploy and manage virtual machines on OpenShift Virtualization. • Perform VM provisioning, migration, backup, restore, and lifecycle management. • Maintain VM templates and golden images. • Configure and manage VM Live Migration. • Monitor and optimize VM performance and resource utilization. • Manage Ingress Controllers, Routes, and Load Balancing services. • Troubleshoot networking, DNS, routing, and firewall-related issues. • Support MetalLB implementations. • Implement and maintain Network Policies. • Implement OpenShift RBAC and access control policies. • Manage platform certificates and secrets. • Support vulnerability remediation activities. • Implement OpenShift security best practices. • Ensure compliance with CIS benchmarks and security standards. • Participate in security audits and remediation efforts. • Support OpenShift Data Protection (OADP) and Velero. • Manage platform backup and recovery procedures. • Conduct DR testing and failover exercises. • Maintain disaster recovery documentation and runbooks. • Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for platform automation. • Support GitOps implementations using ArgoCD. • Automate operational activities and platform administration tasks. • Integrate OpenShift with CI/CD pipelines. • Manage infrastructure-as-code and automation standards.
