Key Responsibilities
Database Architecture & Design: Architect robust, scalable database solutions, define data modeling standards, and oversee schema design for high-throughput transactional and analytical applications.Performance Tuning & Optimization: Act as the final escalation point for critical performance bottlenecks. Diagnose and resolve complex locking, deadlocking, and latching issues, optimize highly complex queries, and fine-tune execution plans.High Availability & Disaster Recovery (HA/DR): Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade failover mechanisms, cluster configurations (e.g., SQL Server Always On Availability Groups, PostgreSQL replication), and foolproof backup/recovery strategies.Security & Compliance: Establish and enforce strict database security protocols, including data encryption (at rest and in transit), data masking, fine-grained access control (RBAC), and comprehensive audit logging to meet regulatory compliance.Migration & Upgrades: Plan and execute seamless, zero- or low-downtime database upgrades, major version migrations, and cloud database adoptions (e.g., migrating to AWS RDS or Azure SQL).Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Establish development standards for stored procedures, triggers, and indexing strategies.
Skill Requirements
Experience: 7+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise database administration, database engineering, or performance tuning.Core Expertise: Deep, internal-level understanding of your chosen database engine\\\'s storage architecture, memory management, query optimizer, and concurrency controls. Oracle DB
