Job Description

The main purpose of the technical writer is to create automotive technical documentations and technical service bulletins.

As a Technical Writer, you will be expected to succeed at the following tasks:

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Improve processes to enable technical documentation and complex technical information across all products and repair procedures, HMA engineers and dealers.
• Write technical documentation and Technical Service Bulletins (“TSB”).
• Track TSB progress from initial draft, HMA approval and issuance to dealers.
• Analyse and maintain TSB documents for content, style, and format standards.
• Manage TSB updates, revisions and variety of media forms that include images and graphs for ease of understanding.
• Perform TSB procedure to validate usability test and accuracy.
• Review historical TSB database and generate any Hyundai/Genesis TSBs when applicable.

Qualifications

• High School graduate  

• Preferred bachelor’s degree 

• Automotive technical knowledge is highly desirable  

• Proven experience working in a technical writing position  

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills  

• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe programs  

• Strong attention to detail  

• Strong analytical/problem solving ability  

• Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences  

• Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking
