About this role

Are you passionate about transforming complex technical information into clear, user-friendly documentation? GEA Process Engineering is looking for a Technical Writer who will take ownership of technical documentation across our product portfolio and help drive standardization, quality, and continuous improvement.

Working closely with engineers, project managers, product owners, and subject matter experts, you will ensure that our documentation meets customer needs, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Our technologies range from spray drying systems to powder handling equipment, providing a unique opportunity to work across a broad range of products and technical disciplines.

Responsibilities / Tasks

As our Technical Writer, you will:

  • Create, maintain, and validate technical documentation, including operation manuals and costumer instructions, in accordance with applicable standards, directives, and internal guidelines
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, product owners, and other stakeholders throughout the documentation lifecycle
  • Plan, coordinate, and follow up on documentation activities to support project deliverables and timelines
  • Coordinate translation activities with external translation partners
  • Drive continuous improvement of documentation processes, tools, templates, and standards
  • Participate in defining and implementing new procedures, guidelines, and ways of working for technical documentation

Your Profile / Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we are looking for a colleague who is passionate about communicating complex technical information in a clear and structured way.

Furthermore, we imagine that you have:

  • Proven experience in technical writing, technical documentation, or end-user manuals, preferably within a mechanical engineering or industrial environment
  • Solid understanding of relevant standards, regulations, directives, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent written communication skills and a high level of proficiency in English
  • Strong attention to detail with a structured and systematic approach to work
  • Ability to work effectively with a broad range of technical experts and stakeholders
  • Interest in improving processes, systems, and tools related to documentation management
  • Experience with documentation management systems, content management systems, or structured authoring tools is considered an advantage
