Trintech is an award-winning AI-driven Fintech SaaS organization transforming the way finance teams operate.

We are looking to hire a Principal Lead Software Engineer to be responsible for one or more of our cloud-based/on-prem products.

Key elements to this important role include:

• Working in a team with developers, QA engineers and coordinating with internal cross-functional teams of the Product;

• Mentoring other developers, ensuring they follow coding standards, quality assurance principles and agile methods;

• Lead team wide technical discussions or troubleshooting sessions including code reviews;

• Have a proven track record of delivering on larger product related changes, following through successfully from idea/conception through architecture, development and deployment;

• Committed to constant growth of knowledge and skills through a combination of company and self-driven work.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Provide leadership in solving complex technical challenges, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable and high performing.

• Troubleshoot complex production and database performance issues.

• Lead architectural and technical design efforts to ensure products are scalable, reliable, secure, and high‑performing.

• Mentor developers within the team and across the engineering organization by providing guidance on technical challenges, design patterns, and best practices.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Support, Security, Operations, and customer‑facing teams to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives and customer needs.

• Contribute to organization‑wide engineering standards, architectural governance, and shared frameworks.

• Actively participate in knowledge sharing across the engineering organization.

• Proactively identify and drive improvements in engineering processes, tooling, workflows, and long‑term technical strategy.

• Support product roadmap discussions by providing technical insight and helping translate customer and business requirements into sustainable architectural solutions.

WHO YOU ARE

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• 10+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using C# and .NET technologies.

• 5+ years of experience developing and consuming Web services using C#.

• 5+ years of experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle database development, query optimization, and performance tuning.

• Strong experience designing and developing scalable RESTful APIs and distributed systems.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles, SOLID principles, and software architecture patterns.

• Experience leading large-scale technical initiatives from architecture and implementation through production operations.

• Experience leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development productivity and troubleshooting workflows.

• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability, and modern SDLC practices.

• Proven ability to mentor engineers and lead technical decision-making across teams.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills in distributed, cross-functional engineering environments.

• Ability to evaluate technical tradeoffs and make architecture decisions aligned with long-term business goals.
