Position: Sr Lead, Infra Disaster Recovery

Job Summary

  • Designs, implements, and manages disaster recovery programs.
  • Identifies risks and develops mitigation strategies.
  • Partners across technology teams to ensure operational resilience during disruptions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain DR plans, risk assessments, continuity strategies, and response procedures.
  • Drive DR governance, metrics, compliance, risk, and issue remediation.
  • Develop resiliency engineering solutions and automate recovery workflows.
  • Influence architecture to improve recoverability and reduce recovery times.
  • Implement DR orchestration tooling.
  • Lead DR testing exercises and validate recovery capabilities.
  • Coordinate with IT, Security, and application teams.
  • Lead recovery efforts during actual disruptions.
  • Deliver DR training and awareness programs.
  • Continuously improve DR capabilities and processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years as a technical specialist or senior business analyst at enterprise scale.
  • 7+ years leading teams or managing projects.
  • Strong infrastructure and application architecture experience.
  • Deep knowledge of DR methodologies, tools, and technologies.
  • Experience with Agile delivery.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • CBCP or similar certification preferred.
  • Financial services or regulatory experience preferred.

Salary Range:

$95,600 - 162,400 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
