About the Role

RPMGlobal (RPM) is seeking full-stack Software Engineers to join our development team and help build the software platforms that power high-precision spatial data processing, visualisation, and analysis for some of the world’s largest and most complex mining operations.  

 

You will work across the stack, from modern web applications and interactive 2D/3D experiences to APIs, and distributed backend services, and cloud and edge systems, operating directly at mine sites.

 

These roles are ideal for experienced software engineers who enjoy solving complex technical problems and building reliable products that connect geospatial data, AI, computer vision, and real-world operations.

 

These are full-time roles, and while they are remote, candidates must be based in Guadalajara.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications, 2D/3D experiences, and backend services for interacting with high-precision geospatial data.
  • Build APIs and services used across web, mobile, edge, and third-party applications, operating across cloud, on-premise, and intermittently connected environments.
  • Develop and optimise components of high-volume data processing pipelines handling point clouds, meshes, imagery, and other spatial data.
  • Collaborate with Computer Vision, machine learning, mobile, and geospatial teams.
  • Work with product managers and UX to translate customer problems into technical solutions.
  • Contribute to architecture, development standards, testing and observability.
  • Use modern AI-assisted development tools and AI agents for implementation, debugging, code review, security analysis, testing, and technical documentation.
  • Take ownership of features and systems from design through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

 

About You

  • 5+ years professional experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, React and Next.js.
  • Working experience with large datasets or computationally intensive data processing pipelines.
  • Experience designing scalable APIs, backend services, and production application architectures.
  • Experience with geospatial software, GIS, and 2D/3D data, such as point clouds, meshes, orthophotos, terrain, models, LiDAR.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, data structures, algorithms, performance optimisation, and automated testing.
  • Experience with Docker, CI/CD and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Experience debugging, profiling and operating production applications, including logging, metrics and error monitoring.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, technical judgment and ownership, with the ability to work effectively on complex or ambiguous problems.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Legally entitled to work in Mexico.

 

Highly Regarded Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience with WebGL, CesiumJS, or Three.js, including spatial data formats, projections, and coordinate systems.
  • Experience integrating Computer Vision, machine learning, or AI capabilities into production products.
  • Experience in mining, construction, autonomous systems, robotics, or other industrial environments.
