Software Engineer
About this role
About the position:
The Software Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust software solutions and AI-enabled workflows that streamline business operations end-to-end. Sitting within our engineering function, this role integrates internal tools, ERP platforms, third-party systems, and modern AI capabilities to drive speed, efficiency, and technical excellence across the company. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will proactively identify opportunities to leverage technology and deliver scalable, high-quality outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using TypeScript, Node.js, SQL, Docker, and modern front-end frameworks (SvelteKit, Vue, or React).
- Build, deploy, and maintain AI-enabled workflows and automations (incorporating LLM APIs, agentic tooling, and MCP integrations) embedded directly into daily business operations.
- Connect internal software, ERP platforms, and third-party tools end-to-end via REST APIs and webhooks, collaborating with external partners to ensure seamless data flow.
- Participate in technical discovery sessions and process walkthroughs; proactively engage with stakeholders to challenge assumptions and translate requirements into practical solutions.
- Ship functional solutions iteratively, evaluate emerging technical tools, and continuously improve systems based on performance and user feedback.
- Maintain detailed documentation of systems, architecture, and integration decisions to support team continuity, security, and long-term maintainability.
What we are seeking:
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer, Full-Stack Developer, or in a similar technical role within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, SQL, Docker, and modern front-end frameworks (SvelteKit, Vue, or React), supported by solid HTML and SCSS capability.
- Demonstrated experience integrating systems via REST APIs and webhooks.
- Practical experience building with LLM APIs (e.g., Claude, OpenAI) or AI-assisted development tools, alongside an active interest in applying AI to practical business processes.
- Strong problem-solving ability, clear written and verbal communication skills, and a proactive approach to taking ownership of business outcomes.
What we offer:
- Fast-track your technical capabilities and leadership potential as we rapidly expand our footprint locally and internationally.
- Enjoy a supportive, Monday–Friday corporate culture in our modern Kew office, complete with convenient parking options.
- Generous staff discounts on our fine jewellery, plus a 20% discount for your friends and family.
- An extra week of paid leave every year to support a charity close to your heart.
