Specific Responsibilities Would Include

  • Handle end-to-end product development until shipment, ensuring the right quality, the right vendor, the right price, and on-time delivery.
  • Product development, costing, and price negotiation.
  • Visit factories for production checks to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Closely monitor the sampling approval process and ensure timely submission along with good execution.
  • Handle all lab dips, bulk fabric color, and quality submissions.
  • Ensure third party test reports done by the vendors/suppliers on timely manner for smooth delivery. 
  • Follow up on T&A (WIP) regularly to ensure on-time delivery reporting.
  • Collaborate with buyers and suppliers to negotiate prices, quantities, and timescales.
  • Maximize customer interest at margin levels.
  • Build constructive customer relationships and team up with channel partners.
  • Maintain fluid, clear, and timely communication with both internal and external partners.
  • Ensure vendors/factories create schedules for inspection.
  • Ensure Inspection report submissions and collecting approval for smooth delivery. 
  • Ensure factories book space with shipping lines and hand over goods on time.
  • Ensure vendor compliance/documentation/ audits completion before the execution of production. 
  • Follow up on PLM & NEXUS to update vendors as required.  
  • Prepare PPT for various approval submissions such as samples / Packing / Folding / etc.  
  • Take care of any ad-hoc projects 

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

Additional Requirements

  • 8-10 years working experience in merchandising.
  • Sound knowledge of garment manufacturing, including construction, fabrication, trim and print techniques, knits and Denim products.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, highly detail oriented.
  • Professional qualification in related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, Excel etc.
