POSITION SUMMARY
Seeking a Senior Data Modeler with 10+ years of experience in Data Modeling and the Banking/BFSI domain. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Oracle Database, SQL, Data Warehousing, ETL, and Data Migration, with experience in designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Exposure to Oracle to Netezza migrations, Teradata/Netezza, and banking regulatory/compliance requirements is highly preferred
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data models, including conceptual, logical, and physical models for banking applications.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to translate business requirements into scalable data models.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with enterprise data governance standards.
• Optimize database design for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Lead data migration initiatives from Oracle to Netezza.
• Support enterprise data integration and data warehousing programs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 10+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Modeler.
• Strong domain expertise in Banking and Financial Services.
• Extensive experience with Oracle Database, including data modeling, schema design, and performance optimization.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and database design principles.
• Experience with Data Warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data integration frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent combination of education and experience KEY SKILLS: Data Modeling, Banking Domain, BFSI, Oracle Database, SQL, Data Warehousing, ETL, Data Migration, Oracle to Netezza Migration, Teradata, Netezza, MPP Architecture, Data Governance, Schema Design, Performance Optimization, Banking Compliance, Enterprise Data Architecture.
