Senior Electrical Engineer - Metro Rail Design Projects

Context

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing team supporting major metro rail design projects. This position is ideal for a technically strong professional with proven experience in electrical design for complex rail infrastructure.

The successful candidate will bring hands-on design experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Tunnels including bored tunnels, cut-and-cover tunnels, pre-cast arch structures, and cross passages
• Portals, vent shafts, and headhouses
• Depot approaches and junctions
• Stations

Missions/Main Duties

• Lead and deliver electrical design packages for metro rail infrastructure projects
• Prepare and review calculations, technical reports, specifications, drawings, and design documentation
• Design and coordinate systems such as LV power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, earthing and bonding, lightning protection, small power, and cable routing
• Interface with civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, fire/life safety, signaling, communications, and traction power teams
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, project specifications, and applicable codes and standards
• Participate in design reviews, technical workshops, risk reviews, and value engineering exercises
• Provide technical support during tendering, construction, testing, and commissioning stages
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence within the team

Profile/Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in electrical design for rail, metro, underground, or major infrastructure projects
• Demonstrated experience in at least one of the following: tunnels, portals/vent shafts/headhouses, depot approaches/junctions, or stations
• Strong understanding of electrical systems design within complex infrastructure environments
• Experience in multidisciplinary coordination and design integration
• Good knowledge of applicable international codes, standards, and engineering best practices
• Professional Engineer registration or chartership is an advantage
• Experience with BIM, CAD, Revit, or electrical design software is preferred
