Overview of the role

We build the demographic, socio-economic and macroeconomic datasets that Euromonitor clients around the world rely on to make decisions. We are looking for a Data Analyst or Senior Data Analyst to help standardise, model and forecast that data – turning messy, inconsistent source statistics into figures people can actually compare and trust.

It is a role for someone who likes solving problems with data: sharpening our modelling and forecasting techniques, and finding new ways to improve data quality and comparability rather than just maintaining the status quo.

What you’ll do

• Analyze and manipulate datasets, carrying out calculations and numerical analysis using R.
• Standardize raw statistical data to ensure cross-source comparability.
• Extrapolate and interpolate data using both quantitative and qualitative methods to develop modelling and forecasting techniques.
• Monitor, review, and enhance data quality.
• Document all work processes to ensure team alignment and best practices.
• Liaise with sales and marketing departments and handle client queries.

What we’re looking for

• Background in mathematics, econometrics, data science, statistics or similar fields.
• Proficiency in R. Knowledge of Python is a plus.
• Proficiency with Git.
• Experience in data manipulation, statistical analysis and time series forecasting. •
• Good coding habits: proper documentation, styling, reproducibility.
• Excellent communications skills and fluency in English (both oral & written). •
• Strong organizational skills, creativity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work on own initiative.

The role has a monthly gross salary of €2,416 - €3,083, dependent on experience.
