SAP Basis Technical Lead / Technical Delivery Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Technical Lead / Technical Delivery Manager with strong hands-on expertise in managing complex SAP landscapes and leading enterprise customer engagements. The role requires a technically strong leader who can troubleshoot critical issues, guide the team, manage customer expectations, and drive SAP operations, transformation, and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead SAP Basis operations across ECC, S/4HANA, HANA DB, NetWeaver, Java, PI/PO, Solution Manager, Portal, BOBJ, and related SAP components.

Own critical incidents, performance issues, escalations, RCA, and preventive actions.

Manage and mentor SAP Basis team members, ensuring delivery quality, accountability, and technical discipline.

Work directly with enterprise customers, application teams, infrastructure teams, cloud teams, and SAP stakeholders.

Support cutover planning, runbook preparation, mock cutovers, migration activities, upgrade planning, downtime optimization, and execution tracking.

Contribute to SAP RISE, S/4HANA transformation, OS/DB migration, cloud migration, and hybrid SAP landscape operations.

Handle SAP HANA administration, system refreshes, upgrades, HA/DR activities, backup and recovery, and performance tuning.

Support SAP BTP, Cloud Connector, Web Dispatcher, RFC, SSL, SSO, certificate, and integration-related troubleshooting.

Identify automation opportunities in SAP operations, monitoring, refreshes, health checks, incident handling, and repetitive Basis activities.

Required Skills and Experience:

12+ years of hands-on SAP Basis experience in administration, troubleshooting, upgrades, migrations, performance tuning, and landscape management.

Strong understanding of SAP architecture, databases, operating systems, interfaces, connectivity, and enterprise SAP operations.

Experience leading teams and managing technical delivery for large enterprise customers.

Good exposure to SAP RISE, S/4HANA, SAP HANA, BTP, Cloud Connector, and hybrid cloud environments.

Strong customer-facing communication skills with the ability to manage escalations and explain technical issues clearly.

Proactive mindset toward optimization, automation, reliability improvement, and operational excellence.
