Job Description
As our Rooms Division Manager, you will be leading our experienced Front Office and Housekeeping teams. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will:
- Lead by example and empower the teams to focus on a positive guest experience at all times.
- Manage and activate the loyalty experience for our valued members. Drive loyalty engagement and enrolments.
- Facilitate the team’s performance to ensure the highest levels of productivity.
- Be responsible for handling guest feedback in an efficient and proactive manner, implementing changes as required.
- Manage, multitask and lead our small team from the front with operational shifts required.
- Analyse and report departmental costs, ensuring performance against budget.
- Collaborate with other department heads to meet shared goals and responsibilities.
- Assist in developing and maintaining procedures; and drive service initiatives.
- Ensure the team’s success; overseeing training and development.
- First Aid and Approved Manager qualified, or willing to get if you are successful.
Qualifications
- Prior Front Office leadership experience.
- Prior Housekeeping leadership preferred but not essential.
- A positive, solutions-based focus with strategic thinking and ability to forward plan successfully.
- The ability to work flexible including evenings, weekends and overnight; when required.
- Experience in coaching and developing a team with a passion for performance.
- Excellent time management skills
- A desire to grow your skills and progress your managerial experience
- Previous experience with a hotel management system – Opera Cloud is a bonus!
