Our Martos plant is one of the biggest sites within our Visibility Systems Business Group in charge of developing and manufacturing Lighting Products and Electronics. From the latest adaptive lighting technologies to intuitive interior lighting solutions or stylish and design-centric external lighting, Valeo constantly innovates to improve comfort and safety for drivers and passengers alike.

We are looking for a Project Buyer to lead drivers purchasing activities.

Project Purchasing & Sourcing Management

• Leads all purchasing activities from project kickoff to closure (SOP), ensuring compliance with QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) targets.

• Defines sourcing plans, manages the RFQ process (via PuMa/Auctions), and selects suppliers based on segment strategy and "bundle" opportunities.

• Coordinates design reviews (S-VRF) to ensure supplier alignment, capture improvements, and secure acceptance of requirements.

Risk & Technical Management

• Identifies critical parts and assesses supplier risks (capacity, financial, technical) to develop and record contingency plans.

• Anticipates and escalates roadblocks to ensure project targets and segment strategies remain on track.

Financial & Operational Performance

• Pilots the project purchasing index and leads action plans (VP/PTBV) to meet CAA targets and ensure a smooth transfer to serial production.

• Maintains PuMa and SAP (Early Open Orders) accuracy, ensuring all milestones, contracts, and supplier documentation are properly recorded.

Collaboration & Advanced Purchasing

• Coordinates with Project Managers, Segment Leaders, and Productivity Buyers to align on localization and global platform needs.

• Innovation (P3/P2): Manages pre-sourcing for advanced projects while strictly protecting Intellectual Property (IP) through contractual safeguards.

Desired skills and experience:

• Industrial Degree/Master.  

• > 3 years experience in purchasing. Engineering, automotive sector knowledge desirable 

• Geopraphic mobility (on-site position).

• Knowledge and passion for the automotive industry 

• Abstraction capacity, lateral and holistic thinking 

• Negotiation English level is mandatory, other languages added value
