Job Description
Waikato Milking Systems is looking for a skilled Production Welder (Steel) to join our Manufacturing. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for producing high-quality steel components using MIG and TIG welding techniques while meeting production schedules, quality standards and safety requirements. You'll work closely with a supportive manufacturing team and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding to specification
- Manufacture products within required quality and time standards
- Maintain a strong focus on workmanship and attention to detail
- Read and interpret engineering drawings where required
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- At least 3 years' experience in MIG welding
- TIG welding experience or exposure (advantageous)
- Strong understanding of welding positions and equipment operation
- Experience working with steel and metal fabrication
- Ability to accurately measure and produce quality work
- Physical fitness and ability to work in a manufacturing environment
- A strong commitment to health and safety
- A proactive, reliable and team-focused attitude
