Role Summary

As a Product Operations Associate, you will support day-to-day product operations by collecting and analyzing product data, helping maintain clear stakeholder communication, and supporting user research and process improvement activities. You will work closely with the wider product team to keep tools, documentation, and workflows running smoothly. Responsibilities:

Product performance and data analysis

  • Follow established procedures to collect and analyze basic product data, accurately extracting data from assigned sources.
  • Assist in creating basic reports on product performance metrics.
  • Identify potential areas for improvement based on clear guidelines.
  • Support basic quantitative and qualitative analysis of product data to inform product decisions.

Stakeholder communication support

  • Observe relationships and ways of working with key stakeholders, building an understanding of effective communication styles for product plans and progress.
  • Build content to support the team's communication of product vision, roadmap, and progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Address stakeholder concerns with pre-defined answers or help docs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Build positive working relationships with stakeholders from different departments, such as engineering, marketing, and sales.

Product tooling and process support

  • Follow established procedures for using product development tools, proficiently using assigned tools within established workflows.
  • Identify minor inefficiencies in existing processes and suggest simple improvements.
  • Contribute to maintaining documentation for product development processes.

User and customer research support

  • Support a basic understanding of user and customer needs through participation in user research activities.
  • Observe user interviews and usability testing sessions.
  • Assist with gathering and documenting user feedback, and identify basic user needs from research data.

Change management support

  • Follow standard techniques to investigate and analyze the size, nature, and impact of changes to operational activities.
  • Contribute to recommendations for change management plans and actions.
  • Support implementation and engage with stakeholders under direction.

Must-have skills (required)

  • Able to follow established procedures to collect, extract, and analyze basic product data.
  • Basic proficiency with spreadsheets and product data tools for reporting and analysis.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, able to support clear communication of product plans and progress to stakeholders.
  • Able to build positive working relationships with stakeholders across departments, such as engineering, marketing, and sales.
  • Comfortable using product development and collaboration tools within established workflows.
  • Able to support user research activities, including observing interviews and usability sessions and documenting feedback.
  • Basic understanding of change management principles and ability to support implementation activities under direction.

Academic and professional requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Product Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a product operations, product support, or related analytical role.

Nice-to-have skills (preferred)

  • Exposure to product analytics or A/B testing concepts.
  • Familiarity with product documentation and knowledge base tools.
  • Interest in user research and customer-centric product development.
