About this role

Job Purpose

  • To provide his portfolio of HNW clients with personalized service so as to develop close relationships, achieve maximum profitable contribution for the client and bank and retain their loyalty and respect.

  • The jobholder is required to enhance Private Banking sales / revenues and promote the cross selling of bank products to all existing clients.

  • Job Holder must be able to source new business of Ultra HNW individuals through referrals, marketing activities, and personal contacts.

  • Financial Advisor must ensure that client are aware of all financial services offered by the banks many departments, TCM, Trade Finance, Mortgage, Corporate Finance etc.

  • Coach and manage   Senior Relationship Managers

Key Result Areas
  • Optimize the potential value of the client base through the delivery of Private Banking products and services and actively identify new customers
  • Ability to communicate with HNW clients to structure advise based on client needs
  • Ability to recognize opportunities to partner with other bank professionals to service client needs and maximize bank revenues.
  • Maximizing profitability from the Private Banking base whilst countering competition from other providers offering alternative investment / WM opportunities.
  • Safeguard the bank from potential loss / AML fraud/ and ensure ethical behavior 
  • Safeguard banks reputation by ensuring ethical professional behavior at all times before/during after sales
  • Enhance market profile and awareness.
  • Achieve revenue goals, sales & portfolio growth targets across a range of products & services (Investments, Term Deposits, CASA balances, TCM, FX trading, share financing, etc)
  • Acquire ‘new to bank’ NHW clients
  • Maintain a superior customer service experience for clients including pre-empting issues and proactive servicing.
  • Minimize customer attrition
  • Maintain proactive client contact
Operating Environment, Framework and Boundaries, Working Relationships
  • Interact with product managers/investment advisory/ line managers/ cross sales mgr / CSO’s to constantly provide feedback on competition and customer response to products/services
  • Coordinate activities with other department in order to maximize conversions from the lead referral process.
  • Ensure client expectations are constantly met.

Problem Solving

  • Ability to understand customer’s financial needs on a one to one basis
  • Intricate understanding of products pertaining to HNW customers – both internal & external (competitors)
  • Advanced market knowledge of various investment vehicles / markets / economics.
  • Accurate projection of sales numbers.
  • Proactive action on customer feedback /needs
  • Timely escalation of service issues.

Decision Making Authority & Responsibility

  • Pricing discretion for effective relationship management
  • Strong responsibility for ethical selling to customers with complete disclosure about the products & services.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • University Graduate
  • Strong numbers, selling & investments/ Financial Market Knowledge
  • Strong Interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
  • Relationship Management & Networking skills. Extrovert / Amiable personality 
  • At least, 3 years experience of a similar job with another bank 
  • Lead and manage a team of private bankers, providing strategic direction and mentorship.
  • Develop and execute private banking strategies to attract and retain high-net-worth clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential private banking clients, leveraging your network and industry knowledge.
  • Stay updated with market trends and competitor activities, identifying opportunities for product enhancement and service improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of private banking services, including wealth management, investment advice, and tailored financial solutions.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of innovative private banking products and services, ensuring they meet client needs and market demands.
  • Monitor and analyze client portfolios, providing proactive advice and solutions to optimize their financial positions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct.
  • Represent MashreqBank Egypt at industry events and forums, promoting our private banking offerings and establishing our brand presence.
  • A bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is required, with a preference for advanced qualifications in private banking or wealth management.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in private banking, with a proven track record of acquiring and managing high-net-worth clients.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team of private bankers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-centric approach to relationship building.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Egyptian financial market and regulatory environment, including relevant laws and compliance standards.
  • A proactive and innovative mindset, with the ability to identify market trends and develop strategic solutions.
  • Proficiency in using banking software and technology for client management and portfolio analysis.
  • Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of client confidentiality.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is essential, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
