Job Role: Mortgage Broking Support VA

Compensation range: $1,800 AUD - $2,000 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Role Overview: This role is responsible for managing loan files from pre-submission through to settlement and post settlement file management, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a smooth end-to-end process. You will take full ownership of the file once the broker has set the strategy, ensuring a seamless journey from initial lodgement through to settlement. You will work closely with brokers, lenders, business development managers (BDMs), and clients to track conditions, prepare documentation, and coordinate settlements, ensuring all milestones are met efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage loan files from pre-submission through to formal approval and settlement
  • Manage post settlement checks and annual client reviews.
  • Accurate preparation and submission of loan applications via ApplyOnline or Simpology, Loanapp etc.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate lender notes to ensure all files meet NCCP requirements, including the collection and verification of supporting documents (VOI, payslips, bank statements etc)
  • Proactively track applications through the lender’s assessment process and manage MIRs (missing information requests) to avoid delays.
  • Provide regular proactive updates to clients to ensure a 5 star experience.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for lenders, BDMs, real estate agents, solicitors and settlement agents to obtain information and provide updates.
  • Maintain an immaculate CRM database to ensure reporting and post settlement marketing is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Review loan documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Coordinate settlement bookings and liaise with relevant parties
  • Ensure settlements are completed smoothly and within required timeframes
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in loan processing, mortgage administration, or broker support (specifically within the Australian Mortgage Industry).
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in English language.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end mortgage process from pre-submission through to settlement
  • Must be an expert in lodging applications across a wide panel of lenders (big 4 and tier 2/3).
  • Proficient in using CRM systems, loan submission platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient in loan application software and CRM systems specifically Infynity (Finsure CRM), ApplyOnline, LoanApp, Simpology).
  • High attention to detail with strong file management and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple files, conditions, and deadlines accurately.
  • Experience or knowledge in commercial or asset lending/applications is ideal, but not essential.
