Marketer – Construction & Building Materials

Location: Kenya Department Marketing Reports To:Sales & Marketing Manager Experience:3–4 years relevant experience Job Purpose The Marketer will be responsible for promoting the Client's construction and building materials, generating new business opportunities, engaging potential and existing customers, and supporting the growth of the company’s market presence and customer base. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience marketing construction and building materials, with knowledge of products such as ceramic tiles, engineered stone, wrought-iron products, paint, and other related building materials. Key Responsibilities Promote and market the company’s construction and building materials to potential and existing customers. Conduct field marketing activities to identify and develop new business opportunities. Generate leads through market visits, networking, referrals, customer outreach, and other marketing initiatives. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, developers, architects, interior designers, retailers, and other industry stakeholders. Understand customer needs and provide appropriate product information and recommendations. Create awareness of the company’s products and services within the target market. Follow up on leads and customer enquiries and support their conversion into sales. Conduct market research to identify customer preferences, emerging trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities. Support promotional activities, product launches, exhibitions, trade events, and other marketing campaigns. Maintain an up-to-date database of customers, prospects, leads, and business opportunities. Prepare regular reports on marketing activities, customer visits, leads generated, and market opportunities. Maintain a high level of customer service and foster positive customer relationships. Participate in other marketing and business development activities as assigned by management. Work closely with the sales team to support the conversion of marketing leads into sales. The successful candidate will primarily market: Ceramic tiles Engineered stone Wrought-iron products Paint Other construction and building materials offered by the company Requirements Qualifications and Experience Diploma or Degree in **Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, or a related field**. 3–4 years of relevant marketing experience**, preferably within the construction and building materials industry. Previous experience marketing or selling **ceramic tiles, engineered stone, paint, wrought-iron products, or other building materials** will be an added advantage. Good understanding of the construction and building materials market in Kenya. Proven ability to generate leads and develop new customer relationships.
