About Tessenderlo Group ICT

Our ICT organization supports a global, diverse group active in agriculture, bio-valorization and industrial applications. Your role

As a Junior AI & Data Analyst, you will join the ICT team and help connect business needs with data and AI solutions. Your role combines business analysis and stakeholder partnering with hands-on technical delivery: you will help translate business questions into data products, dashboards, prototypes, and AI-enabled solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical specialists while gradually building practical experience across data analytics, AI, cloud data platforms, and digital transformation.

Your responsibilities include:

• Actively scouting and identifying AI opportunities together with business stakeholders across our business units
• Structuring use cases: describing the business problem, expected value, feasibility, data needs, and the technical approach required to deliver a working solution
• Supporting the prioritization of promising AI initiatives and helping build clear business cases together with business and IT stakeholders
• Acting as the functional link between business stakeholders and technical teams (data engineers, data scientists, AI specialists) during proof-of-concepts and pilots
• Following up on running AI and automation projects, gathering feedback, and helping successful pilots scale
• Contributing to dashboards, reporting, and portfolio tracking to keep AI initiatives visible and on track
• Performing exploratory data analysis, preparing datasets, and translating data into clear business insights, reports, dashboards, or prototype solutions
• Building and maintaining simple analytics solutions, such as Power BI dashboards, SQL queries, Python notebooks, data transformations, or low-code automation flows
• Supporting proof-of-concepts by configuring tools, testing outputs, documenting assumptions, and iterating solutions based on user feedback
• Supporting AI adoption and literacy efforts within the organization, including our AI Champions network
• Exploring and applying relevant technologies within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem (Data Factory, Databricks, Fabric, AI services, Copilot, etc.) to understand what is technically possible and contribute to practical implementation

Qualifications

Must-haves

• Recent graduate or early-career professional with a degree in ICT, data science, economics, business engineering, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• Genuine interest in AI, data, and digital transformation, with a strong drive to translate business needs into concrete, technically feasible solutions
• Initial practical experience in data analytics, AI, business analysis, data preparation, reporting, or process improvement, gained through an internship, thesis, student project, student job, or first professional role
• Basic hands-on skills in at least one data or analytics tool, such as Power BI, SQL, Python, Excel Power Query, Microsoft Fabric, or Azure data services
• Structured, analytical mindset combined with a pragmatic, hands-on attitude and willingness to learn new technical tools quickly
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable engaging both business stakeholders and technical experts
• Proactive, curious, and comfortable taking ownership of assigned activities while seeking input and guidance when needed
• Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French are a plus

Nice-to-haves

• Initial experience building or configuring Power BI dashboards, SQL queries, Python scripts or notebooks, Microsoft Fabric items, Azure data services, or similar data and analytics solutions
• Basic understanding of data modelling, data quality, APIs, workflow automation, or responsible AI principles
• Experience translating a business question into an analytical approach, use case, dashboard, or proof of concept
• Interest in industrial processes, international business environments, or business transformation
