HVAC Mechanical Design Engineer
About this role
We are looking for a skilled HVAC Mechanical Design Engineer to work on HVAC design and engineering projects. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of HVAC system design, load calculations, ducting, piping, equipment selection, BOQ, and engineering drawings. Roles & Responsibilities Design HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, residential, and other engineering projects Perform HVAC heat load calculations and select appropriate equipment Prepare HVAC layouts, ducting, piping, and equipment drawings Develop HVAC design drawings, schematics, and technical documentation Prepare BOQ, equipment schedules, material specifications, and quantity estimates Select and coordinate HVAC equipment such as AHUs, FCUs, chillers, pumps, and ventilation systems Coordinate HVAC designs with Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Structural, and Architectural teams Review drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards Support project teams with technical clarifications during execution Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and site teams Manage design revisions and ensure timely submission of drawings Assist in resolving design and site-related technical issues Requirements ✔ HVAC System Design & Engineering ✔ Heat Load / Cooling Load Calculations ✔ Ducting & Piping Design ✔ HVAC Equipment Selection ✔ AHU / FCU / Chiller / VRF / VRV Knowledge ✔ Ventilation & Air Distribution Systems ✔ AutoCAD ✔ Revit MEP – Preferred ✔ HVAC Design Software – Preferred ✔ BOQ & Quantity Estimation ✔ Engineering Drawings & Documentation ✔ MEP Coordination ✔ Knowledge of HVAC Codes & Standards ✔ MS Excel ?
